Does anybody have Plymouth Barred Rock AND Rhode Island Reds in their flock? And if so, can you tell me which chicken lays the darkest eggs? I have a friend who is supplying some hatching eggs, and she does not know which bird produces which egg. The hens are covered by a EE rooster, so it would be good if I could mark them before I set them. One girl is laying a darker brown egg with brown spots. The other is laying a lighter brown without spots. Thanks.
