I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.
This hen mix, a RIR over a BO, laid an ivory egg.
Here is the egg compared to one of her sisters.
Her father was a RIR from a hatchery. Mother was a BO from a breeder. Is this a common thing.
I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been watching. She was using a broody's nest while the broody was doing her constitutional. I was waiting to candle the eggs which were all marked.
Just goes to show Hatchery's do sell barnyard chickens.
You never know what you'll get LOL.
