Egg decoys?

I know quail don’t use nest boxes but I find their eggs occasionally in groups of 3-4, Will they lay semi regularly in a certain spot if you leave a few fake eggs around? It would be nice not to have a daily Easter egg hunt! Redhead ducks have their own nest but also tend to have a communal dump nest that nobody sits on but where extra eggs are laid, sometimes with 50 eggs, I’m curious if it is a similar thing, everybody lays an egg but nobody wants to incubate?

I've used egg decoys to discourage pecking at the eggs. I never noticed a difference in their egg laying behaviour with or without the decoys.

Maybe they just lay in popular hang out spots rather than where somebody else has laid, kind of a chicken and egg conudrum!
