One of my 2yrld red sex links has started eating eggs in the nest box. Seems she only bothers her own eggs though. They're lighter in color from the others with thinner shells. They have access to oyster shells so im not sure why her shells are thin, but the bigger question is how to stop her from breaking those eggs? I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

You can try making a fake egg as bait filled with something that you know they don't like, like something bitter. However, if soft shells are breaking underfoot, and she's eating it because it is there, finding a way to get her calcium intake up may help.

That said. I raise chickens as livestock. Egg eating is a bad habit, hard to break, and if the others learn, can eliminate your egg production. I tend to make stew of such problems.
