Today has already been a bad day! First a stray cat got in and killed two of my chicks and now I went out to get an egg that I seen my EE lay,and I seen one of the mixes walking away from the nestbox and the egg has a hole in it!
What can I do to stop this?

Collect those eggs as quickly as possible, marebear07, and also, you could put a few fake eggs in the nest, so if you've got an egg eater, they will peck those eggs and become discouraged when no goodies flow out......

This could just be an isolated occurrence though.....Especially if there's a hole in the egg, but it doesn't look like it's been eaten......

Crossing my fingers for ya!

Oh boy, sorry to hear that the egg was empty......I would still put some fake eggs in there......Put them all over the place......Now, a friend of mine blew out an egg, filled it with hot mustard.......Dirty trick to play on a hen, but boy did that work!
