What is the white thing? I have not seen it on my home eggs. My eggs have a clear mass but no white

My home egg: What are these two spots? They were not in the egg I was able to remove them with out breaking into the egg

I would not eat store bought eggs again.... EVER
I HAVE NO IDEA BUT IT LOOKS VERY INTERESTING.
After I found out what a battery chick was I really don’t like buying store eggs however this is our first go with chickens and are not getting enough eggs yet so we are still getting some eggs from the store

Store bought eggs usually give the chickens weird things to make their eggs taste better. I’m not sure what it is, but they claim to not give them to the chickens in most commercials. This may be the result. If you don’t give your girlies any weird stuff (just plain food, maybe grits to sharpen the beak) you shouldn’t get this. Hope this helps!

Sorry I did not add that the second photo was from one of my home eggs (I edited my first post to clear things up)

The white thing is in all eggs. It's the cord that attaches the yolk to the whites. I forget all the scientific stuff but it's normal.

As for weird things in your eggs, it happens. They can get meat spots and blood spots and other imperfections. Store eggs are candled so they don't have those things. You can eat the random blood and meat spots. Won't hurt you.

*The cord is called a chalazae. The other tiny white spot in eggs is where the chick would develop in a fertilized and incubated egg.

The top store bought egg has what looks like a shrunken chalazae on the top of it. The chalazae are the "springs" that attach the yolk to the shell membrane and allow the yolk to rotate to keep the embryo closest to the hen as the hen rolls the eggs during incubation. (She rolls them to ensure adequate warmth on all parts of the egg and that the chick doesn't stick to the membrane from pressure).

Your eggs appear to have meat spots or tissue spots in the white. Those can happen as the egg yolk is formed, bits of tissue break off from the egg duct. They are nothing to worry about.

The only time to worry is if you see a LOT of blood in the yolk (a little sometimes happens) or if there is something that appears to be a worm... round worms very occasionally can migrate to the egg tract and enter eggs during production.
