Egg exploded and green ooze came out....

I just tried to boil some eggs and while in the water one of them exploded and green ooze came out and something that almost looked like a tapeworm, anyway it was long. It smelled to high heaven and it was a fairly new egg. I am almost scared to post this because I try really hard to take care of my chickens and the eggs and I hope it's not something I've done wrong. I have to go back to work but any advice will be helpful. I will check back this evening. I also have a picture I can post. It was horrible and I almost got physically sick. Thanks again for any help.

im sure it is nothing u did, but it does sound like a rotton egg. Unless it happens again u shouldnt worry about it
