It's day 7 of incubation, and most of the eggs have veins, but they look only half full. The liquid inside is not moving to the other, "empty" part. Is it normal?

I have an incubator with automatic turning, but i don't trust it, somehow I see the metal bolt shifting the tray in the same position everytime I looked. The markings on the eggs are moving though, so maybe it does turn the eggs.

The pics are not great, but the upper half is the 'empty' one.

Are you talking about the "empty" part being the top of the egg? If so, that's the air cell, it will get larger as time goes by.
You may want to look at this...if you go to the bottom of her page, you can see different days of candling. It's a good visual guideline.

Thank you, Everyone.
My2: The egg in your picture is exactly how my eggs look like.
They are incubated on the side, and the incubator is supposed to turn them / rock them very slowly.

Ok, so I'll wait a few more day and check again.
:thumbsup

its fine, i would turn it a few more times then you have been for the next 7-10 days and check it again as stated.
