Egg is like that since 24 hours

Hi!

It’s my first tume hatching ducks eggs and this little felaw is like that since yesterday morning. I was able to hear it chipping yesterday and I was thinking it will have hatch in the night but no. It was also a day early my 28th day is today.

Waterfowl can take much longer to hatch than chicks. It could be 48 hours plus after external pip for them to zip & hatch.

It does take longer for ducks to hatch
If the air cell was on the smaller side then baby will need to external faster but take longer before he zips
