Egg laid today has a chalky coating over the shell???

Maran pullet (17 weeks) laid an egg today with a chalky coating.
What is that? It was dry. Shell color underneath was beautiful.

Any ideas?

Possibly it's what's called the "bloom "? My girls haven't started laying yet, so I'm not positive.
