Can you tell me about what age you can or should start feeding egg layer feed to your young hens?

You should start providing layer feed when the bird starts laying eggs. For most hens, this occurs around 18-20 weeks of age. For some birds, it may take a little longer. Up to 24 weeks for some. I would suggest that you start providing a layer feed at 20 weeks unless they have already started laying eggs.
