Hi everyone -
I've got two those island reds, one of whom is probably getting close to three years old, and her egg production is slowing down quite a bit (although she still goes and sits on the nest...kind of interesting)
I've eaten one of my birds before when she was past the useful egg laying life, but I certainly didn't enjoy that, and I'd like to have to do that as little as possible. :-/
Are there any breeds that have a longer egg-laying life? I could tolerate a lower weekly rate of eggs if she produced for a longer period of time.
Thanks!
Geoff
