Egg Laying

That's crazy! I've never thought a squirrel could do it. It's there any other possible critters?

Same here, I am guessing my problem is the heat, though :sick

I thought it was moulting, but there was no feathers and it was too early.
The heat has been cool lately. But, I didn't know it could effect them.

We have 3 eggs today! Chickens are happy again. Not up to their normal rate but hopefully will get there

It has been soo muggy here lately, and my poor chickens just sit around all day panting and chugging water :p

Wow. Yeah when it gets cool we lightly spray them with the hose. Like you would a garden.
I would too... Especially in the heat.

Hi my daughters nursery were homing white Plymouth chicks and after convincing mum we now have 2 which I’m pretty sure are hens they are 10 weeks old now and are wonderful garden pets, just wondering when they may lay? All advice appreciated as this is first time. Thanks

Hi
On average, pullets (hens one year and under) will start laying around the 6 month mark. Happy chickening!
