Egg Laying

my hens have been laying 12-18 eggs a day and suddenly they are laying 4-7.

What happened?!

Help me get it back up again

Is there any possibility of a hidden nest? Were they without feed or water for a period of time? Have you changed feed? Added any new birds to the flock?

There is a chance there was a lack of water for a bit because there was a leak we didn’t notice. But we check daily.

No new birds.

I did have one culled from a prolapse.

I have looked for a hidden nest.

If they were water deprived for a period of time in the heat, that would definitely impact egg laying.
