No and yes.

It takes something like 26 hours for and egg to develop and move through the hen, but I've seen it happen occasionaly when they've "held" one overnight and layed one early in the a.m. and one in the late afternoon. Or when they've had problems laying (soft shell, lg egg, etc.) missed a day and had one backed up then layed two at close to the same time the next day.
