Hey guys. I’m in northern Kentucky. I was wondering about how do I get an egg selling license, if I need one, how much, what all I need and we’re to go. If anyone has any information that would be great. Thank you!

I think Kentucky laws only require a license if you sell more than 60 dozens per week.

That’s what I understood from what I read. But my home insurance called us to ask if we were saying if we did we would need one.

You may be able to call the local county extension office. I think to sell them at the farmers market, you need to take a food safety class, but I haven't heard of needing a license. I would be interested to find out.

Ya I might end up making some calls next week. I only sell to family/friends. I am health department and serve safe trained From going to pastry school and working in a bakery.
