Egg position in incubator question.

When I have used automatic turners the air cell is always tilted slightly up. But when turning manually I have always had them completely horizontal and on their side. This is mostly how they are when a hen hatches them herself as well. I know that with duck eggs it is preferred to have them completely horizontal also, so I would not stress trying to make the air cell slightly up. The most important thing is to make sure they are getting turned correctly and an odd number of times per day.

the lock down stage in any incubator setup you have you lay them onside and stop turning them, it helps them position properly to hatch
