Egg Prices??

Anyone know if the current prices of store-bought eggs had anything to do with the wave of avian flu that swept through the country?

I imagine it has more to do with shipping and supply issues.

I think it’s a combination of everything: the bird flu last year, feed prices, fuel prices, and cost of supplies…The commercial egg industry isn’t really as adaptable as small flocks to deal with everything all at once

I would say HPAI is the biggest factor.
One example:

You can't just lose 1.3m birds and not expect supply disruptions.

The industry has also put some blame on the breeding flock(s). Also, feed/fuel prices and labor shortages will have an impact.
