We have 6 RIR hens that are approximagery 1 year old. They began laying around mid July and we're laying 6 eggs a day religiously until winter when they dropped to 3 eggs a day. We put an infrared heat lamp in their coop because the winter this year in upstate NY was extreme in every way. Now spring is here and they are spending their days outside with lots of nutritious snackS as well as their feed. They haven't increased their egg production yet though. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong or if I just need to be patient.

Following this thread because I have the exact same thing happening. I have 5 hens and would get 4-5 eggs a day all last summer. That dropped to 1-2 eggs during the winter, but I expected that. Now they are out and roaming again, weather is great here in WI but still only 2 eggs per day?? Know you are not alone, but I don't have any answers either. :(
