Egg production question???

Ok... I was imagining these breeds in my head!! These are barred rocks and golden laced wyandottes! SOOo cute!
We love them so much! Make it fresh food and water every day I even go out there and refill the water several times because it has been so hot.

I would say that at 22 weeks, not all 6 of your pullets are likely laying yet so your egg count will vary. Also, not every bird will lay every day. It will get more consistent as time goes on. I average 3-4 eggs a day from 5 laying hens. Some days I get 5 eggs from 5 hens, but other days I only get 2. Every chicken is different! Laying will also change at different times of the year. Other times one may randomly quit laying for one reason or another. I have a broody that's not laying now. I have a duck that will quit for a few days any time she gets stressed about something. Some don't like when it's real hot, I get fewer eggs when the wind is howling. They are particular birds ;)
