Egg query while in incubator

Hi all, love this site, I am 3days away from first lot of eggs hatching in the incubator. Whoooeee
Its a brinsea eco20.

I went to turn the eggs this morning and one of them is standing almost end on end, pointy end down. I moved it and it was like a magnet and just returned to that position?? Wierd

Would it be an off egg??

I think that some of the eggs were infertile, I might have mixed them up in storage.

Any help much appreciated. I dont want it to blow up at this stage thanks.

Hi,

This sounds like an infertile egg that has dried up inside. It don't make any difference to which end you put them on, it always goes back like to standing on the end?

All you can do is remove it.

Excellent, thanks for that advice.
That particular egg was not from my fertile girls which is why I knew that Id botched up.
It was light as, and after taking it out, I cracked it open and only a part dried egg yolk left.

It could also be one that is ready to hatch. But I agree with Ironsun, if it's standing up that badly, it's probably no good. Eggs with chicks in them will also tilt towards the pointy end, but not that drastically.
