I have a lone Texas A&M female that I hatched out. For the longest time I thought she was a he. Anyways, she has been laying an egg a day and taken only 2 days off. She is a lovely bird in all ways. I just wish I had a mate for her. She lays her eggs in early evening. Lately, it has been earlier. I picked up her egg yesterday and today I went to clean out her cage and there was an egg so I put it away. I even remember petting her and telling her what a good girl she is and gave her a treat. She LOVES mealworms. I go and finish up w/ my other birds and there is another egg in her cage. She is by herself. I think twice about it and think I am LOSING what is left of my memory. What the heck happened? This cannot be normal? Correct? I have never had Quails before but had chickens most of my life.
