We have been saving/drying our pullets egg shells to give back to them. I try to keep some in a dish in the run, but they always turn it over and they I cannot fined it for a while. Anyways, should I just give them the egg shells freely, let them have them any time or only at certain times?

Still trying to find more green things at the stores to feed them (when I can make sure they are organic) but haven't had much luck with prices.

I don't want them to have them with 'egg' in them, you know the yolk and such, so we dry them first then I crush them in a small baggie.

I will start mixing them in with their layer feed. Thanks.

I've just crushed up a batch of eggshells and plan to add it to the oyster shell they already get as free choice.
