Egg song but no egg?

My chicken today started singing the egg song for the very first time. But then she stopped for like 10 min. Then she started again for like 5 min, but stopped again. It's been 30 min so far and she hasn't sung or layed an egg. Is something wrong?

sometimes if chickens are scared then they will make that noise, mine will do it if I chases them or try to catch them at night. whatever the reason you don't have to worry about it.

Yes, practicing and it takes a while to get everything working for young pullets Sometimes mine sing and don't lay even when they are older - and it could be also that the egg song isn't exclusively an egg song but has other functions as mentioned above!

sometimes if chickens are scared then they will make that noise, mine will do it if I chases them or try to catch them at night. whatever the reason you don't have to worry about it.

Ive heard that before, but I was far away from them and they were still doing it for short intervals of time

My pullets have never sung the egg song when laying, but they do make that noise when they're upset by something. If I hear it, I know something's up and go check it out.

Mine were doing this for their eggs.... but now they have stopped singing for their eggs and do it to call me to feed them their TREATS!!! And they don't stop until I get out of bed. I think they may have trained ME.
