Egg Sticking Part Way Out of Vent

This morning, I let the ducks out of their night pen and noticed that one of them has an egg sticking part way out of her vent. She is running around the yard, eating and acting normal enough. But, she still hasn't laid the egg. Is this normal?

I had one like that. The egg was actually out, but stuck to the feathers. I had to catch her and take it off.

OK...yup! She finally finished laying it. I found it "hidden" in some long grass. Thanks!
