How long will eggs safely keep in the fridge? One hen has started laying and it will take awhile to save up enough eggs for a meal.

weeks, months....just don't wash off the bloom, they will stay fresher longer....
**By the time we get the eggs from the store to our homes they are weeks old already...then we are allowed to keep them for several weeks more...

Farm fresh eggs will last for a very long time...even on the counter

I've kept them up to 6 weeks and they were fine. The older eggs are best for boiling (easier to peel) and fresher eggs are great fried (the yolks almost never break!) Have fun coming up with new egg recipes.
