One of my hens decided to get broody and I let her stay on some eggs and play it out naturally. Just an experiment. It has been about a week now. This morning when I went out to let them out of the coop she was outside in the run. Apparently she was able to push the small coop door open and could not get back in. The eggs were still warm but not nearly as warm as normal. This probably occurred for at least an hour. Is it over now? Should I remove the eggs? How long can embryos survive at a reduced temperature?
