Hello!

I'm curious if there is are any companies out there that test eggs for backyard chickens looking for high chemical content such as lead or other things.

I'm not super concerned but it dawned on me that we bought this house in a suburb and the previous owner probably used weed killer in all the places the chickens now live. It's been 2 years but I'm curious what's in the eggs now that I've been eating this whole time. Not trying to be alarmist but at the same time...you have to wonder.

Based on my search it seems testing the soil might but much easier and more widely available. I can't seem to find any places that test eggs for hazardous chemical purposes.

Anyone find something? - btw saw California college did local testing but that was 2018 and local. I'm not in California.

Thanks!
