What time of day do chickens lay?

ours start befor 7:30 am and go to early afternoon

It just depends. Mine lay anywhere from 6 a.m. until dusk. Whether that's normal or not, I don't know. That's just what mine do.

Our two 'big' girls typically lay before noon. Now that our little girls have begun to lay, we get eggs right up to bed time (theirs, not ours

). I'm curious if the little girls will stop laying in the afternoon once they get older.

I've been getting eggs from 7 am until 4 pm.

Mine lay in the morning, I've had no eggs after noon
