Egg turner clicking

I purchased a gqf automatic egg turner and it doesn't slowly turn in one motion, but clicks and moves alittle each time it does so. Like super mini jerks. It seems ta get the job done... but will it hamper development with the small movements? They are approx every 30 seconds (and kindof annoying but if this is normal it is fine) and want to know if this is normal.

Do you already have your eggs set? A friend had a different model and their clicking was caused by one of the gears being slightly off track. After that was fixed it just had kind of a humming noise when it was turning.
