In an increased effort to eat better (and because I have SO many eggs), I have started making egg-white only omelettes.

Is there anything wrong with cooking up the remaining egg yolks only and feeding them to the chickens?

I wouldn't think so, but thought I should check with the experts.

Waste not, want not.

Have you gone HOLLYWOOD? Only people in magazines eat (or claim to eat) eggwhite only omelettes. Wow, you've got a strong stomach, or do you close your eyes?

BUT, never mind the harassment, to answer your question, cook those yolks up and feed 'em to the girls and Hank. Especially in winter, they could use the extra fat I think.

Or you could save them for custards. Hmmm, I've got a yeast bread recipe that uses a bunch of egg yolks. Oh wait, you wanted to avoid eating the yolks. Never mind.

I'd think eating the yolk would be eating well. That's where all the vitamins, minerals, and essentials are for forming an entire baby chick. The whites are just like water and protein to hold it together. Mom says an egg has all you need in it to survive, even the salt and sugar. At least that's my english interpretation of what she says.

Just hard boil and eat whole that way.

Lately I've been eating three eggs (either scrambled or as an omlette,) and taking two of the yolks out. You still get the normal color, and it tastes virtually the same, but much healthier.
