Egg with attached umbilical cord?

I just found this egg in my nesting box. It appears to have an umbilical cord coming out of the end. I don't have any roosters, just 3 hens. Does anyone have any insight on this??

That not an umbilical cord......but some tissue from the reproductive tract.
Hopefully it's a one time fluke...hiccup in the egg machine.
