My coturnix hen layed and egg with no shell.what happened to make this happen?

Sometimes it's just a fluke. Usually it's a result of a stress, or poor food, not enough calcium etc.

Young birds who have just begun to lay will also occasionally lay eggs with no shell. Feed them oyster shell freely if you aren't currently doing it.

My 23 coturnix are 8 weeks old and none have laid an egg yet. How come, all males? Their parents were laying at 42 day and on.

Because they aren't on a digitized schedule. There are a lot of factors that can affect whether or not hens lay. Nutrition, how much light they get, whether or not they are molting, stress, disease, or parasites can all affect whether or not a hen will lay. Most likely though your birds are molting again. Are you seeing a lot of feathers around the cage?

The 6 parent hens are about 15 weeks old now and still lay 4-5 eggs a day. It is getting cool at night and there is less light time.
