egg with tiny hard shell balls on it

One of my hens has who started laying in Nov. lays eggs with tiny clustered balls on the shell of her eggs. insides are normal, is this common? Her egg shape is normal and color is also normal and the tiny balls are same color as the rest of the shell, it's just weird. Could it have anything to do with the stress of the cold? She has been laying these eggs only for the last month and it has also been our coldest temps.

I believe it is from excess calcium, and is not a problem. The reverse, insufficient calcium is a problem.

However, if I'm wrong, I trust someone will correct me here.

excess calicum not a problem I have eggs like that ever so often. not a problem
