Egg with what looked like smear of blood

on the outside of the shell? I washed it off and it came off easily enough, and I think it may be one of my hen's first egg. It this normal? Wasn't real red, but did look like a smear of blood????

Perfectly normal. No worries. New layers do that sometimes.
