Found an egg in the nest this morning with the top cracked open and a white like substance hanging out. It looked like a thick membrane with a bit of a blob at the end. Any ideas what this could be?
I have 2 hens that currently lay with no problems that I am aware of, but also have 2 silkies that are about 25 weeks old and never laid yet (that I am aware of). I have never seen them going into the nesting boxes at all. Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated please. Thanks all.
