Hi, I've had chickens since 2014, but as a kid, growing up in South Africa, I had a few years on the farm, raising egg layers and edible hens.
We have a small flock in Seattle and they get to free-range, yes they cross the road, they are chickens after all. We blessed to have neighbors who love seeing the hens hunt bugs in their yard. On hot summer days, the hens go hang out in an Auto shop to cool off in front of the workshop fan.
As an industrial designer, I came up with what I think me a unique coop design and run set up, I hope to share some of this in the near future.
