Eggcited proud chicken newbie!

Hello, we have 6 week old chicks in the basement. So far so good. I have been stalking this site and had to join. Alot of good info and friendly folks. Never ventured into chickens before. Or anyother farm animal either. This is a labor of love for the whole family. I am building a coop and plan to have it done in time, barring to much rain.
So, thanks for your help to date. And I know I'll get good advice later.
