one of my hens is laying 2 eggs a day lately is that even normal??

I have a new Hampshire red and a golden comet.

It’s probably the GC. They are a production hybrid. More prone to laying issues and they burn out fast. Just make sure they have plenty of laying feed and oyster shell. Keep an eye out for egg binding.

They free range pretty much from sun up to sun down. And I give them layer feed with oyster.
I'm constantly checking their vent to make sure they aren't impacted!
