Eggs are dropping while roosting !!!!!!

I had an egg this morning, broken, under the roost. I think it came from my calico hen. She seems to be coming out of a long molt. Her comb has gotten nice and red, healthy looking.

The chicken's ovulation cycle is 25hrs meaning that they will lay one hour later each day for a number of days then skip a day and reset their clock...



omg i did not know this. that explains so much. i thought i just had dysfunctional hens. this is why i love byc......
