I just got my eggs today in the mail. The postal service left them on my front step. It's 47 degrees so I'm worried that they got cold during delivery. I have them waiting at room temp before placing in the incubator. I read that I should wait between 6 and 8 hours. What would you all recommend?

personally, I like to let them settle for 24hrs before setting when they are shipped. I leave them in a 55-65F room for 24hrs. then I move them to a warmer room, maybe 75. then i put them in the incubator with the lid slightly ajar for a few hours, so the temp rises but slowly, eggs getting to about 85. then I close the lid to get them up to temp.
