So we went on the town and had a neighbor watch the animals, and they didn't pick up eggs. So I had to hens that were being very broody. I pulled all the eggs checked them all and I had about 7 that were showing signs of life inside. Now it's been another week and it's easy to tell that some had just started the day I pulled them and others had been under the hen for maybe the whole time period. How do I handle that? I am unsure of dates and actual ages and just a bit lost on what to do. They've been growing steadily and I can see them moving and doing flips and going crazy so they seem like they're doing very well I'm just wondering as it gets close to hatching time how I handle the lock down. I also have 3 eggs that are on day 17 ish. I had some days where we had really cold nights and the temperature dropped down a little bit so I think they're a little bit behind. Any help would be great!
I am unsure of the breeding. My males are a Polish crested and a Brahma Bantam. I have all sorts of hens out there from Americanaus, barred rocks, sex links, a Brahma, buff orpington and a female crested. The only ones I know it can't be are the frizzled bantams because their eggs are tiny so I can tell. Those are actually the ones that are due in the next few days
