The other night I was looking in my hen's coop to make sure they were all there and I noticed a yolk and the white membrane around it. There wasn't a shell or pieces of one and yesterday I found another. I don't know if this is a sign that one of my chickens is sick or if they do this sometimes but its a little unsettling. Any ideas?

That's pretty common with new pullets as they get their egg laying systems in order. If it is not a young hen, then you may need to add calcium to their diet in the form of oyster shells. Otherwise, don't sweat it. Young hens lay strange eggs once in a while!

Thats good to hear! They just started laying and I actually just started giving them oyster shells today. Thanks for the help! :D
