I recieved a shipment of eggs that were packed too tightly without enough padding. Unfortunately 5 were completely crushed and the egg goo absolutely coated the other eggs.
Rather than let more goo dry on them I very gently rinsed with warm water and gently patted them dry, then placed them in a rack to rest. I am afraid the goo sitting on them in transit might have blocked the pores and suffocated them, or caused bacteria to get in.
What would you do in this situation? Is it safe to incubate the remaining eggs? I could put them in the cabinet on a seperate rack instead of in the king suro that I had planned to use if that would be safer.
