Eggs different sizes

One of my hens will lay a medium size egg one day and the next will produce a huge one. She does that on a semi-regular basis. Any idea of why the difference?

How old is she? If she has just started laying eggs, this is normal. Usually hens don't have consistently large eggs for a couple months or so. The same thing is going on with my BA hen, and she has been laying for a month or so.

She'll be two years old in Jan. A couple of times the eggs have been amazingly big for her.
