Eggs hatched 1 week early!!!!!!!

I set eggs under my broody hen on July 26, 2022. I am on vacation right now and just saw on my security cam that the chicks are hatching. I can only see one chick but the camera is 10 feet from the nest. We’re not supposed to hatch until august 16. What is going on here???? Will that chick be okay? Looked pretty active on the cam. Mom still sitting on the eggs.

Might be due to temperature, it's so hot! Will you be back in two days? Did you leave food and water for it?

Are you sure they were set on the 26th? What breed are they? Day 18 is possible to hatch, but anything younger then that I'd think impossible.

maybe she had an egg stashed in the bedding before you gave her more eggs

Yes they have food and water that the chicks can reach and are in a secure shed

I am positive because the 26th is when I lost my other Broody and I had this one so I set them that day. My dad went home and looked and didn’t see anything but he also didn’t pick her up or make a very extensive look. I am so confused right now

They are all Orpington‘s mostly buffs and three lavender Orpington‘s and one white Orpington

I moved her to a new nest with a dozen eggs so that couldn’t of been possible plus I don’t have a rooster

The only issue is the chick follows the mama hen... If you're not back in two days abd are doesn't show the chick where the guys and water is, the chick may starve.
