Eggs Hatched, Chick Disappeard

[Country Chickie]

We put the eggs and our broody hen in a large wooden nursery box that we made for the momma hens and the babies once they hatch. We did see a healthy looking chick and it lived for about two days and is now gone. The box is lidded and ventilated. The chick is completely gone and we don't know what happened to it. The only other chicken in there is the hen and there are no places it could fall from. Anyone have an idea what could have happened to it? Predator?
