Hey so day 14 they lost roughly 3g each now day 18 I've just put them into lockdown and they have regained 2-3g like what the heck I'm so confused is this a bad thing!?
also 4 of the eggs embryos have not filled the egg but the embryo still moves around and bops about when being candled... could they hatch at a later date or will they just die anyways?
ETA: I just realised I've put them into lockdown a day too early at 70% humidity

How did your hatch go?
2 have hatched, 2 have pipped and still a waiting game for the other 7...
They all did this but for example, egg #9 lost weight at day 14 then went back up to its original weight at day 18, thankfully hatched perfectly, so here's going for the rest 🤞🙏
Egg #12 pipped well over 48hours ago unzipped about an inch (36ish hours ago) and then stopped, it was shrink wrapped so we moistened with coconut oil and q tip... I took the shell off a little (probably shouldn't of in hind sight! My first hatch!) It cracked and their are no veins but there is a tiny bit of yolk that still needs absorbing so I popped chicky inside a small cup so he can't pop free but still enough room for him to wriggle about and stretch a little if/when he does, then I put the cup back inside the incubator. Oh well I figure his cord hasn't broke from the shell yet so I have nothing to lose as I know he'll die if I take him completely out of the shell.

ETA: We have just ticked over onto day 21

That sounds more like a problem with your equipment or your technique. That sounds too regular to be right.

Good luck with the rest of the hatch.

Yes, this hatch was not smooth at all humidity was all over the place due to my inexperience and too much conflicting info that's out there for our location 🤣 this was/is my first hatch.
Hey I have an egg that pipped 7pm 2 nights before last so coming up up 55hrs later it's still alive but it pipped at small end... should I assist it? Another is unzipping as a type 🙂
