Eggs havent hatched yet

Hi there! My eggs aren't hatching and its day 23, the humidity is at 54 and the temperature is at a stable 96 degrees. I can't raise it anymore, it's a homemade incubator. I candled a few and saw there was nothing in there but a few had a full grown chick in there! I could see its beak, eyes, and tail. There was a pip in the shell but it hasn't moved farther then that. The rest have no pips. Why aren't they hatchinggg

Temperature is too low. Even at 98, it delays hatching by a bit

It's that 96 Fahrenheit (I assume it is) That's much too low

At 96 degrees you will generally have a high morality rate (i.e. unsuccessful). for us to help we need an idea of how you built your incubator, as in what are you using to heat it with now..what kind of material the bator itself is etc.

Its a cardboard box with two bowls filled with water for humidity, i couldn't find any Styrofoam boxes, i put a sponge and a cloth in the water as a wick. And it has a 25w bulb right ovee the water bowls

Update- i covered the box with a bath towel the temperature went up! Its at 100⁰ right now!
