My 25 week old Black Stars and EE's just started laying this week. My oldest girls, now 29 weeks are still not laying.

Usually around 5 months of age.

I also have a young hen that I'm so excited for her to lay!

Depending on bantam or standard and size... MOST chickens lay between 23 and 27 weeks... thats approximately 4 to 6 months after hatching. Some even longer depending on time of year or daylight. Depends on the breed.

I didn't get eggs from my Marans till they were nearly a year old.
